MINIMUMS EXPLAINED

Very often 3PL / fulfillment companies will set order minimums that their customers must reach each month. The minimums are set to ensure there will be enough volume to maintain, plan and scale the business accordingly.

What this means for a young business?
Minimums do not allow fluctuations in orders. If a business has a slower season and the orders do not reach a minimum requirement, they will still need to pay that difference.

What is the solution?
Find a 3PL / fulfillment partner that does not have minimum order requirements. This will allow a young company to scale and grow without paying unnecessary charges.

STRUCTURED PRICING

Structured pricing can be very convenient and efficient for large companies, as well as the 3PL / fulfillment company. But this isn’t always the right fit for young, growing companies with unique needs and products.

CUSTOM PROGRAMS

In order to find shipping efficiencies, 3PL / fulfillment companies will stock standard boxes and packaging for products of various sizes without the flexibility to adjust. Sometimes this is great for everyone… especially high-volume, standard-sized products. However, if a product is not a standard size it may get put into a large box, which causes shipping costs to go up due to dimensional weight. Ugh!

SI Fulfillment has a proprietary technology that allows customers to designate the packaging that is required for each product. So if standard doesn’t fit… you are not stuck with  increased shipping charges.

This same technology allows us to insert marketing collateral and/or product information into the package.
